Ms. Leola Rodgers is the current President and CEO of the Syracuse Community Health Center. She joined the Syracuse Community Health Center in January, 2015 and brings more than 25 years of progressive management and operations experience in healthcare.
Prior to joining the Syracuse Community Health Center, Inc., for the past fifteen years, Ms. Rodgers was the Associate Administrator for the Upstate Golisano Children’s Hospital, Ambulatory Services, Oasis and HealthLink at Upstate University Hospital. This included her role and responsibility in building the Upstate Golisano Children’s Hospital, a hospital that serves a seventeen county area in Central New York. During her tenure at Upstate, Ms. Rodgers also had responsibility for more than thirty outpatient clinics under Upstate University Hospital Ambulatory Services. She has worked for over twenty-five years in various healthcare settings in Detroit, Michigan, Boston, Massachusetts; and Jacksonville, Florida; that included multi-hospital systems, community health centers and academic medical centers.
Ms. Rodgers has a long history of working with charities and not-for-profits in Syracuse that have included Enable, Make-A-Wish Foundation, On Point for College and Ronald McDonald House Charities. Currently, she serves as Vice President of the Health Foundation of Western and Central New York. Ms. Rodgers is also a board member of the United Way of Central New York, Crouse Hospital, CNY Care Collaborative, Syracuse 20/20, and CenterState CEO. She also serves on the Social Determinants of Health and Community Based Organizations Committee, a sub-committee of the NYS Medicaid Value Based Payment Work Group.
Ms. Rodgers holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Detroit and a master's degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
